Britain and Poland signed an agreement on the joint development of the Narew air defense system
British manufacturers will take part in the creation of the Polish air defense system Narew. The letter of intent was signed during a visit to Poland by British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace. This is reported by the UK Defense Journal.
The agreement implies the participation of foreign manufacturers in the creation of the Polish air defense system. The British division of the international consortium MBDA, together with the Polish military-industrial group, will work on the integration of a modular anti-aircraft guided missile.
The Narew complex will receive ammunition based on the British anti-aircraft missile CAMM (Common Anti-Air Modular Missile). A promising rocket will be able to reach speeds of up to three Mach numbers. The ammunition received an active radio frequency seeker. The publication notes that CAMM can hit stealth aircraft, high-speed missiles and small targets.
Earlier, the Telegram channel BelTA published a video of the transfer of Polish anti-aircraft missile systems. The recordings show the Cube and Wasp complexes.
In October, Defense24 announced the superiority of the Polish Piorun portable anti-aircraft missile system (MANPADS) over the Russian Verba. The publication suggested that the range of the Polish MANPADS exceeds 6.4 kilometers.
