Apple invented the glass iPhone

Apple patented glass gadgets

Apple patented glass gadgets – iPhone, Apple Watch and other devices. This is reported by Patently Apple.

An application filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) describes a smartphone with an all-glass body. According to the documents, Apple engineers are showing an iPhone made entirely of glass. Experts clarify that due to the choice of this material, the entire surface of the phone can be made touch-sensitive, thus actually “wrapping” the display around the gadget.

The presentation of the invention talks about the technology that allows making perforations in the case for speakers and a microphone. The iPhone software will display a picture on the screen depending on which side the user is holding the device.

The document also covers other gadgets that are made of glass. This includes the Apple Watch and Mac Pro in various designs. Apple's patent was filed in mid-November.

In early fall, enthusiasts discovered an Apple application on the USPTO website describing the concept of an iMac made from a single piece of glass. The device has a display and keyboard located on a single substrate.
