In Yekaterinburg, a detainee attacked an investigator with scissors during interrogation at police department # 10. Valery Gorelykh, a spokesman for the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Sverdlovsk Region, told Lente.ru about this.
According to him, the incident occurred on November 18 in his office. Previously convicted of theft, fraud and robbery, a 34-year-old resident of Yekaterinburg named Khramtsov was on the federal wanted list for a long time. He was detained on suspicion of a series of shoplifting. During interrogation, Khramtsov unexpectedly grabbed a pair of scissors and inflicted several cut wounds on the investigator. He was promptly neutralized by the police right at the scene.
The victim was treated at the hospital and then released. The recidivist was put in a temporary detention center. He was charged under Article 295 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Encroachment on the life of a person conducting a preliminary investigation”), the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia told Lente.ru. A psychological and psychiatric forensic examination has been assigned to the attacker.
