Friend of the Russian singer Marina Khlebnikova Yablokochnik said that the performer had depression before the fire. A friend of the artist shared details about her condition in an interview with Gazeta.Ru.
“She smokes, her husband died. Her husband committed suicide in her apartment. These were difficult times. She did not break down, she recorded a new album, released it on digital platforms, shot a video in St. Petersburg. She has such a tragedy in her life – a burn, ”Yablochnik said. The man stressed that Khlebnikova had no problems with alcohol, but she suffered from depression for a long time.
Earlier it was reported that the cause of the fire in a two-level apartment on Ratnaya Street on Thursday, November 18, was an unextinguished cigarette. At the time of the start of the fire, Khlebnikova's daughter Dominika and her mother Irina Maltseva were sleeping. They woke up from the noise and helped the artist's father, Arnold Khlebnikov, who cannot walk, to get out of the house. Khlebnikova received first aid, then she was taken to the intensive care unit of the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine, where she was put into a drug-induced coma.
