Vilfand: pressure in European Russia will drop to 720 millimeters of mercury
Scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand warned Russians about the massacre in the European part of the country lowering atmospheric pressure to a level close to the record. RIA Novosti writes about this.
According to the forecaster, on Saturday, November 20, atmospheric pressure will drop. The powerful anticyclone that controlled the weather at the beginning of the week will be replaced by a deep cyclone. It will bring precipitation and strong winds. Atmospheric pressure, according to forecasts of meteorologists, will reach 720 millimeters of mercury.
“In four to five days, the pressure will drop by 40 millimeters. A very strong decline. In itself, such pressure is close to record values, “Wilfand noted.
Earlier, Vilfand predicted unfavorable weather with heavy rainfall and wind in a number of Russian regions in the coming days. Forecasters promise a blizzard, sleet and wind up to 28 meters per second in Siberia, Volga region and Central Russia.
