WSJ: rappers Travis Scott and Drake were sued by 125 people after a crush on Astroworld a class action lawsuit against the organizers of the Astroworld festival after the death of ten people. The Wall Street Journal writes about it.
According to the newspaper, the lawsuit was made against the rappers Travis Scott and Drake, who organized the event. In addition, entertainment company Live Nation Entertainment and Apple Corporation, whose music service Apple Music was a partner of the concert, are listed as defendants.
The plaintiffs are seeking $ 750 million in damages. The lawsuit states that the claimed damage is βan attempt to remedy, assist, or compensate for the harm and loss suffered by these plaintiffs.β
Lawyers for the rappers and Apple did not respond to a request from the publication & A Live Nation spokesman told the newspaper that the company β will deal with all legal issues in due course. β
On November 5, rapper Travis Scott received a stampede at the Astroworld in Houston. It lasted half an hour, during which time more than 300 people were injured. It was originally reported that eight of the rapper's fans died from their injuries. They were between 14 and 27 years old. On September 11, it became known that 22-year-old Bharti Shahani had died in a hospital in Houston. Four days later, nine-year-old Erza Blount died.
