The Russians were offered to give private houses when evicting from emergency apartments

“Parlamentskaya gazeta”: those evicted from dilapidated housing will be able to receive individual houses compensation for their construction – if the citizens themselves express such a desire. The corresponding initiative of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region has already been supported by the Federation Council, Parlamentskaya Gazeta reports.

A document providing for such an option for resettlement may be finalized and submitted to the State Duma as a bill, the newspaper points out. >

Senator Sergei Lukin explained that in the Irkutsk Region and in many other Russian regions, individual housing makes up a significant share of housing construction. And citizens, he said, are interested in getting private houses in exchange for apartments in emergency buildings.

Lukin invited his colleagues to support the concept so that it could be finalized. Senators generally supported the initiative.

Earlier it became known that every fifth Russian (19 percent) does not have a country house or dacha, but is preparing to buy suburban real estate in the future. Almost half of Russians already have a dacha or a country house.
