Russians began to pay worse for housing and communal services

NBCH: the number of defaulters for housing and communal services increased by 8.7 percent since the beginning of the year the growth in the number of debtors continued, according to the report of the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBCH) – the largest credit bureau in Russia. 152 housing and communal services enterprises from 50 Russian regions transferred the relevant information to the NBKI.

As of November 1, 2021, the number of non-payers (recognized by the court as debtors) has grown since the beginning of the year by 8.7 percent, reaching 38.3 thousand human. Of these, 3.6 thousand are legal entities (plus 2.9 percent from the beginning of the year). The NBKI recalled that the debt for housing and communal services negatively affects the credit history and complicates the receipt of borrowed funds. Information on outstanding debts by a court decision is available to all creditors, including banks, microfinance organizations and pawnshops.

In mid-October, Alexander Kozlov, coordinator of the federal project “School of the Literate Consumer”, said that power engineers have no right to turn off Russians light for debts of a couple of hundred rubles. In addition, under no circumstances should you deprive housing in which small children or people with disabilities live.

Earlier, lawyer Sergei Sergeev revealed a popular way of deceiving with an increase in utility bills. He warned that management companies (MC) may hold fictitious meetings of homeowners, which allegedly agree on higher rates and additional utilities, which leads to an increase in receipts for the “communal”.
