Law enforcement agencies of the Tver region have begun an inspection after the death of a police officer at the workplace. This was reported on Thursday, November 18, TASS reports.

According to the agency, on November 17, an employee of the Krasnokholmsky police department had to hand over the service weapon that was given to him for the duration of his duty. But at the appointed time and later he did not appear, and did not answer calls. Suspecting something was wrong, colleagues broke down the door to his office and found the employee dead. According to Vesti Tver, a police major was killed by a bullet wound in the heart.

On August 10, it was reported that the body of a 22-year-old Russian policeman was found under the windows of a residential high-rise building in Sterlitamak.
