Russian drones interested foreign customers

RIA Novosti: five applications have been received for the Orion-E drone

Foreign customers are interested in Russian Orion-E drones. A source in the military-industrial complex told RIA Novosti about the received applications for the supply of drones with guided missiles.

“Since this summer, foreign customers from the countries of the near and far abroad have sent five applications for the supply of Orion-E strike drones “equipped with guided Vikhr-M missiles,” said a source from the agency.

Earlier, General Director of Kronshtadt JSC Sergei Bogatikov noted the possibilities of export versions of Orion drones. According to him, Russian vehicles will be able to work with foreign satellites.

In September, Sergei Bogatikov spoke about the modernized Orion-E drone, which received satellite communications. The new equipment made it possible to increase the range of the device.

In July, a RIA Novosti source announced the preparation of the Orion drone for test launches of the Vikhr anti-tank guided missiles. The interlocutor of the agency noted that in the fall, drones will fire at ground targets imitating armored vehicles. Orion will be able to carry two missiles in containers on underwing pylons. The probability of hitting a moving object with new ammunition exceeds 80 percent.
