Minister of Labor of the Russian Federation Kotyakov: 30 billion will be allocated to increase the living wage and the minimum wage This was stated by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Anton Kotyakov, RIA Novosti reports.
“About 30 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget to increase the living wage and the minimum wage,” the head of the department said.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said that the increased indexation of the living wage and the increase in payments will affect about 16 million Russians, and the increase in the minimum wage (minimum wage) will affect about three million Russian citizens. Changes in 2022 will be provided at the expense of the federal budget, extra-budgetary funds and constituent entities of Russia.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to increase the living wage by 8.6 percent in 2022. According to Putin's proposal, the cost of living will rise to 12,654 rubles. The President noted that the indexation of the living wage in the budget by 2.5 percent is not enough due to the current level of inflation, which has accelerated in recent months. Putin also ordered to raise the minimum wage (minimum wage) by 8.6 percent – up to 13,890 rubles.
