Rospotrebnadzor announced a decrease in the number of antibodies after 45 days in some people

Epidemiologist Gorelov: the number of antibodies to COVID-19 in some people may decrease after 45 days

The concentration of antibodies to coronavirus in some people decline 45 days after vaccination or illness. This was stated by Alexander Gorelov, deputy director of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, he is quoted by TASS.

“Therefore, the vaccinated get sick, and the maximum number of them grows after six months. Therefore, the world has chosen exactly the number six months [for revaccination], because someone gets sick after four months, someone after nine, “Gorelov said.

He added that patients with COVID-19 are becoming those who, after the first vaccination against coronavirus, consider themselves protected. Because of this, people stop observing safety measures, the specialist emphasized.

According to Gorelov, no vaccine protects a person one hundred percent. He recalled that there are also three to five percent of people whose body does not respond to the effects of vaccination.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor named the main indicator of the immune status from COVID-19 in the world. The department said that such an indicator is only vaccination or a transferred disease. Physicians around the world are still in scientific debate about the level of antibodies sufficient to protect, they added.
