Gunzburg: those who bought vaccination certificates may develop new strains of COVID-19 
Head of the Gamaleya Center Alexander Gunzburg warned who, instead of being vaccinated against COVID-19, buy certificates, new strains of coronavirus may develop. This is reported by TASS.
According to the scientist, anti-axers “are a breeding ground for new strains and endanger the lives of their loved ones, children and elders.” He noted that people who buy certificates not only spend money, but also put themselves in mortal danger. Gunzburg added that he does not understand such people in the conditions of free vaccination in the country and more than 15 thousand vaccination points have been created.
Earlier, Gunzburg spoke about criminal responsibility for forging certificates of vaccination against COVID-19. He cited the example of European legislation, according to which for falsifying documents indicating the presence of those vaccinations that are allowed in the European Union (EU), six years in prison are imposed. He noted that he fully agrees with the position of the Europeans.
The scientist also assessed the likelihood of a test in Russia that would detect a fake coronavirus vaccination certificate. According to him, the test for the presence of special antibodies in the blood is not planned to be used in large quantities in Russia. The specialist noted that, in his opinion, such work should be carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the prosecutor's office, and investigative bodies.
