Realtor Borovikov: real estate prices in Russia will continue to grow until 2023 
Prices for residential real estate in Russia will grow until 2023, said URA.RU realtor Pavel Borovikov. He named the date of a possible start to reduce the cost of apartments – this is 2023.
According to the expert, in the foreseeable future, housing prices will continue to increase. “In short-term moments, a decline is possible, the price cannot grow linearly,” Borovikov explained. – In my opinion, next year should not be a year of strong growth. Cycles of falling prices go on conditional four years. That is, in 2023, theoretically, we will be able to see a decline. ”
The realtor believes that falling incomes of Russians and an increase in the supply of real estate will contribute to the reduction in the cost of housing. Growth, in turn, will be ensured by high construction costs and inflation.
Konstantin Barsukov, General Director of the Russian Guild of Realtors, meanwhile, said that the dynamics of growth in housing prices “will definitely slow down.” Some developers are already offering discounts on apartments, he said.
Earlier, analyst Oleg Repchenko warned that Russia risks facing the problem of excessive growth in housing prices again if the authorities choose to subsidize mortgages in depressed regions. The housing problem in the country should be solved not through endless subsidizing of the mortgage market, but through structural reforms, the expert emphasized.
