Senator Bashkin: doctors dissuading from vaccination against COVID-19 should be deprived of medical certificates
Doctors who are dissuading Russians from vaccination -19, should be deprived of medical diplomas for life. Senator, candidate of medical sciences Alexander Bashkin said this to RIA Novosti.
According to him, the physician who opposes vaccinations has not received proper education, medical knowledge and practice. Therefore, such doctors should not be allowed to work related to virology and vaccination, Bashkin emphasized.
A member of the Federation Council wondered how such doctors received their diplomas. He called for expanding the sphere of responsibility for such immoral acts. “This is a violation of the medical code, the Hippocratic oath, the code of honest doctors,” the parliamentarian added.
In addition, the senator noted that now disciplinary liability in the form of dismissal is envisaged for these actions. He said that it is worth thinking about tightening it, for example, giving the courts the right to deprive such doctors of licenses, or transfer disciplinary liability to administrative or even criminal liability. Anti-vaccination doctors may also be associated with sellers of fake vaccination certificates and QR codes, Bashkin warned.
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Ministry of Health offers to pay medical workers 200 rubles in total for each citizen vaccinated from COVID-19. The draft resolution has been published on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts. “The total amount of payments for the purpose of material incentives for medical and other employees of federal executive bodies involved in vaccination of the adult population against the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 is 200 rubles for one vaccinated,” reads the explanatory note.
