Lidov-Petrovsky called the court decision in the case of Tsargrad and Google viewers as precedent
Director of Communications and Public Relations today “Petr Lidov-Petrovsky called a positive precedent the court decision on the claim of the viewers of the Tsargrad TV channel against Google.
” From my point of view, this is a precedent. This decision is definitely positive. There is a different attitude towards the TV channel “Tsargrad”, including among the viewers. But the key point, from my point of view, is that an American corporation should not censor Russia. And what they do is censorship. The company operates on the territory of Russia and must operate according to Russian laws, and censorship is prohibited in our country. From this point of view, the decision is of a precedent nature. Google can only match. I think this is a good precedent, “the expert noted.
Recall that Google lost the appeal on two lawsuits from the viewers of the Tsargrad TV channel, which demanded to restore access to it on YouTube. If Google does not unblock the YouTube account of Tsargrad, then from December 17, the court will send documents to the Federal Bailiffs Service for the process of compulsory execution of the court decision. Bailiffs can impose additional fines on the company or refer the case to law enforcement.
