Swedish Defense Minister Gulqvist supported the creation of a military training base in Ukraine 
The Swedish Defense Ministry is in favor of creating a military training base in Ukraine. This was stated by the head of the department Peter Gulkvist, reports the publication “Evropeyskaya Pravda.” … “We consider it very important to note the ambitions of the EU and to contribute to the security and sovereignty of Ukraine,” the head of the Ministry of Defense noted.
Gulqvist also stressed that Sweden allows the deployment of its contingent in Ukraine. In addition, he added that at present all eyes are riveted on the migration crisis on the border of Poland and Belarus, however, what is happening in Ukraine always remains relevant.
On the plans of the European Union to send a military mission to Ukraine amid tense relations Russia became known from the publications of the Welt am Sonntag edition. Later, the information was confirmed by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko. He indicated that the parties are discussing such measures due to the increased activity of Russian troops in the border regions. The idea was supported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
