Moscow Mayor Sobyanin: Russians from other regions need to be attracted to work on construction sites
houses under the renovation program should be reduced. The corresponding instruction was given on Wednesday, November 17, by the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, RIA Novosti reports.
As the mayor noted during the inspection of a new house under the renovation program on Baumanskaya Street, such construction sites need “people of different quality, with a different salary. ” He advised the general director of the Krost contractor, Alexei Dobashin, to involve Russians from nearby regions in the work. They need to provide decent working conditions, increase wages, the mayor said.
Dobashin, in turn, said that over the past year, the number of foreign builders at the company's construction sites has decreased by 15 percent. Workers with good qualifications, according to him, earn 120-150 thousand rubles a month.
Earlier, the vice-mayor of Moscow for urban planning policy and construction Andrei Bochkarev announced the capital's plans to refuse to attract migrants to construction sites. He cited the examples of China, Finland and the UK, where workers are not brought in from abroad and are paid more than Russia.
