The general added that the Chinese warhead approached the target. According to the American military, the Chinese may launch a nuclear strike against the United States.
In October, Hayten said that China is ahead of Russia in the development of hypersonic weapons. The general added that Russia has deployed four types of hypersonic weapons on intercontinental ballistic missiles.
Earlier in October, The Financial Times reported on tests of a hypersonic nuclear-powered missile in China. Sources of the publication noted that the tests were carried out in August. The rocket circled the globe and descended to hit the target.
