Germany spoke about the consequences of the suspension of certification of “Nord Stream-2”

German Minister Schulze: the suspension of Nord Stream 2 in winter will bring losses

Sven Schulze, Minister of Economy of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt in Germany, spoke about the negative consequences of the suspension of the certification process for Nord Stream 2 AG, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Schulze, the decisions of the German regulator regarding the operation of Nord Stream 2 may bring production losses and rise in prices. He announced this during a press conference in Magdeburg. “I see a big problem in the fact that Nord Stream 2 will not work all winter, which has now become absolutely known,” the politician said.

Earlier this situation was commented on by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the EU Vladimir Chizhov on the air of the Russia-24 TV channel. He noted that the Kremlin would not like to see political motives in Berlin's actions. “So far, with regard to the official position, primarily of Germany, which is the recipient of this project, we have not heard any political statements in this regard,” the diplomat said.

On November 16, Federal Network The German agency notified Gazprom and the other parties to the Nord Stream 2 agreement that it suspended the pipeline's certification for legal reasons.
