Hh.ru research: Muscovites expect an average salary of 76,405 rubles
Muscovites expect salaries 45 percent higher than average residents of Russia. This is stated in a study by hh.ru, reports TASS.
Muscovites on average expect a salary of 76,405 rubles. In second place were applicants from St. Petersburg, they would like to receive 54,498 rubles (three percent more than the rest of the Russians). In third place are residents of Yekaterinburg with salary expectations of 45,706 rubles (13 percent less than the national average). The most modest salary appetites were also revealed, they turned out to be among the residents of Barnaul (34,533 rubles, which is 34 percent less than expectations in the country).
Such a big difference in salaries of workers in Moscow in comparison with their colleagues in Russia are influenced by several factors: the level of prices for housing, food, transport, leisure. In addition, the capital's labor market has a low unemployment rate in all sectors. Employers maintain high wages in order to look attractive in the struggle for personnel, analysts said.
Earlier it was reported that more than a quarter of Russians would like to receive 30 thousand rubles as a salary increase. This would be enough for them to live comfortably. At the same time, the majority of Russians (about 70 percent) do not have enough of their current salary.
