According to Chekunkov, foreign specialists will also be invited to cooperate. “We will give priority to our Russian architects, urbanists and companies, but at the same time we will offer joint participation to foreign colleagues, so that the highest quality of the new urban spaces that we create, since we compete here with the whole world,” said the minister.
< p> Chekunkov spoke about the possible involvement of the French business in the construction. According to the head of the department, companies from France are strong in the hotel business: they have well-known hotel chains and resort projects. Chekunkov is convinced that after the pandemic, foreign tourist flow in Primorye will recover and reach one million people, which will require more developed infrastructure.
Earlier, Russian billionaire Araz Agalarov called the idea of building new cities a “good idea”. He noted that the population is now decreasing in the vast territory of the Far East and agreed to participate in the implementation of the project if such a proposal comes to him.
The agreement on the creation of a Sputnik near Vladivostok was signed at EEF-2021. According to the plans of the authorities, 300 thousand inhabitants will be able to settle there.
