According to the organization, the number of victims of COVID-19 in the European region in a week increased by five percent, and the number of new cases of infection by eight. It is noted that during this period in European countries, more than 28 thousand citizens died from complications of infection.

“During the week of November 8-14, there was a tendency for an increase in the number of new cases in the world, and their number exceeded 3.3 million compared to the previous week, ”the WHO said. Thus, in the world, the number of cases increased by six percent, and the number of deaths – by one. At the end of last week, Europe accounts for 64 percent of all those infected with coronavirus and 57 percent of deaths.

Earlier, the WHO said that Europe has again become the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic. The region has recently accounted for half of the infections and deaths from COVID-19 in the world. In this regard, a number of countries have thought about introducing additional restrictions to curb the spread of the infection.
