An international arts festival starts in Tatarstan in December

The XIV International Festival of Arts “Philharmonia” will be held in Tatarstan from 5 to 15 December

International Festival of Arts “Philharmonia”. As Tatar Inform specifies, the cultural event will take place from 5 to 15 December.

Guests of the festival will get acquainted with a wide range of genres of performing arts, from folklore to pop.

Talking about the project Svetlana Chernykh, head of the listener relations department, pointed out that this year, despite the difficulties associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizers were able to attract many outstanding artists to participate in the festival. “This is a saxophonist, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Butman, and pianists Vadim Palmov, Sergei Kuznetsov and Varvara Myagkova, and actor Nikolai Fomenko, and cellist Sergei Slovachevsky,” she explained, adding that the Philharmonic also invited outstanding groups, including The Stradivalenki quartet and the Akimov St. Petersburg Comedy Theater.

According to her, starting this season, the Philharmonic has decided to hold pre-concert lectures for listeners so that they can better understand styles and trends, as well as get acquainted with by the authors of the performed compositions. “Our goal is to help new listeners better understand the music that sounds not only from the stage of our philharmonic society, but also around the world,” Chernykh concluded.

Earlier it was reported that the All-Russian festival of national songs “Voice of Asia”. It was clarified that the event will be attended by 15 artists from nine Russian regions: Khakassia, Tuva, Altai, Yakutia, Buryatia, Tatarstan, Kemerovo and Novosibirsk regions, as well as from the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Representatives of the national diaspora of Kyrgyzstan will also perform at the festival.
