Comedian Ilya Sobolev told how he was not sure of himself at the beginning of work in Stand Up on TNT
Former resident of the Comedy Club Ilya Sobolev spoke about the experiences associated with participating in the humorous show Stand Up on the TNT channel. The popular comedian shared his memories of the first shootings in his Instagram story.
Answering the user's question whether Sobolev is familiar with the “feeling like he’s stalled,” the comedian admitted that he knew firsthand about the feeling of emptiness and hopelessness. The comedian described how he was unsure of himself at the beginning of work on the show Stand Up, and explained what helped him to cope with doubts.
“When I first came to Stand Up on TNT, I was like tech parties and watched to the performances of the guys, I think: “Well I can never do the same.” Then I pee for a month or two, I perform, and people laugh the same way [as at the concerts of the Stand Up members]. I think after: “No, I can do the same.” It works, “the comedian said.
Earlier, Sobolev explained why he had become more careful in choosing topics for speeches. The comedian considered that in Russia “you can not joke about everything,” and said that he was engaged in self-censorship.
The comedian's comment was made after the court appointed his colleague Idrak Mirzalizadeh ten days of arrest in the case of inciting interethnic hostility because of a joke about Russians.
