Deputy Dmitry Sokolov flew to Kazakhstan to help a Russian who fell into slavery
Deputy of Yaroslavl City Council Dmitry Sokolov Kazakhstan compatriot Alexei Kotov. This was announced by the human rights ombudsman in the Yaroslavl region Sergey Baburkin, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, Sokolov flew to Kazakhstan to take part in resolving the issue of Kotov's return home.

Baburkin said that the family of the Russian expects its own a relative at home, and his sisters even personally wanted to come and pick up their brother from a neighboring country.
“But the situation was resolved successfully. Deputy of the municipality of Yaroslavl Dmitry Sokolov flew to Kazakhstan, he is currently with this citizen, the consul is with them. They are deciding whether to return Alexei Kotov home, “the Ombudsman said.
Baburkin added that, for his part, he is ready to provide any assistance in the return of a fellow countryman who is in Kazakhstan, as well as to provide support to his family.
Prior to this, the Yaroslavl ombudsman reported that the parents of Kotov, who spent 20 years in slavery in Kazakhstan, had never over the years turned to the police about the disappearance of their son, trying to find him with the help of fortune-tellers and psychics.
