Lyashko filed an application against Zelensky with a requirement to initiate a case under the article on treason
Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and leader of the Radical Party Oleg Lyashko filed an application with law enforcement agencies with the requirement to initiate a criminal case against the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky under the article on treason. He announced this on his Facebook page, attaching a video from the police station to the publication.
According to him, the head of state, with the support of the Servant of the People faction, in 2019 initiated changes in legislation that allowed the import of electricity from Russia and Belarus. The politician explained that this step undermines the national economic and energy interests of Ukraine, which, among other things, suffers huge financial losses because of this.
“Zelensky's anti-Ukrainian policy will lead to Ukraine's energy surrender to the Kremlin, and he should to answer for this crime, “Lyashko said and demanded to open a case against Zelensky.
Earlier, residents of Ukraine were warned of the risk of a rolling blackout this winter. According to the head of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Anatoly Kinakh, not only the regions, but also Kiev will remain without electricity.
On November 11, the likelihood of a power outage in the Ukrainian capital was assessed by the mayor of Kiev, Vitaliy Klitschko. According to the mayor, in the event of prolonged frosts, rolling blackouts are possible, which has not happened in the city for 20 years.
