Victory Volunteers from Russia and Kyrgyzstan honored the memory of the Panfilovites
Victory Volunteers in Russia and Kyrgyzstan held commemorative events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the feat of the Panfilovites. Volunteers held a meeting with schoolchildren, during which students of one of the schools presented reports on the fate and combat path of each of the 28 Panfilovites. Among the speakers were the great-grandchildren of the fighters called up under the banner of the legendary division.
“Our people are proud of the feat of 28 Panfilovites who displayed heroism in the battle for Moscow. These heroes are an example for the younger generation of how to fulfill their patriotic and civic duty in the name of peace and life. Now the Internet is trying to deny this feat. But we, Kyrgyzstanis, declare with confidence that we know the truth not only from the military archives, but from the lips of the heroes' relatives. We have a unique opportunity to read their front-line letters, watch photos sent by the Panfilovites home, talk with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, ”said Anastasia Shevchenko, coordinator of the international representation of the Victory Volunteers in Kyrgyzstan.
Volunteers, schoolchildren, students and teachers sang songs of the war years together, laid flowers at the memorial complex. The initiative of the Victory Volunteers was joined by the Russian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, the Council of Young Russian Compatriots and city schools in Bishkek.
“December 5 will mark the 80th anniversary of the battle for Moscow. For Kyrgyzstan, this is also a memorable date. We try to honor the exploits of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, to preserve the historical truth. During the years of the Great Patriotic War, 365 thousand Kyrgyzstanis went to the front, more than 100 thousand of them did not return. This is a very big loss for our country. We have no right to forget the soldiers who gave their lives for us, “Olga Gorbunova, a teacher of the school-gymnasium No. 6 of Bishkek and the curator of the school group of Victory Volunteers, addressed the youth.
the graves of the Panfilovites. The event, together with the Victory Volunteers, was attended by the head of Volokolamsk Mikhail Sylka, granddaughter of General Panfilov Aigul Baykadamova, veteran of the Great Patriotic War and honorary resident of the city of Volokolamsk Yevgeny Maslov, representatives of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, members of the Yunarmii detachments and military-patriotic clubs. >
“We are on the heroic land of the Volokolamsk urban district, namely at the memorial of 28 Panfilov heroes. It was here, on November 16, 1941, that the famous battle of the Panfilov division took place. Here is what German soldiers and generals of the Army Group Center wrote in their reports about the 316 division of General Panfilov: “This division cannot be defeated, it does not surrender an inch of its native land without a fight.” Let us always remember the heroes, ”shared Yekaterina Abramova, Volunteer of the Victory of the Moscow Region.
