VKontakte social network held the final of the Vezdecode IT marathon

1,300 developers and designers took part in the competition. In the qualifying rounds, they solved technological problems on various topics. The VKontakte team prepared tasks on interface design, native mobile development and VK Mini Apps, and local organizers – on game development, 3D modeling, vulnerability search and many others. In addition, there were entertaining formats: quizzes, tests, quizzes, games and original projects.

“The participants came across some topics for the first time – but this is the beauty of the competition. Indeed, in order to become a sought-after specialist, you need to be able to quickly switch from one task to another and have basic knowledge in different areas of IT, “said Elizaveta Kolesnikova, head of the VK IT brand.

For successful decisions, points were awarded, which could be exchanged for souvenirs and VKontakte merchandise. At the same time, the more points the contestant scored, the higher the chances of reaching the final and winning. The winners of the qualifying rounds received 100 thousand rubles each.

The final of the marathon was held from November 4 to 7 online. Tasks for him were prepared by different teams of the VK ecosystem: VKontakte, Pixonic (studio MY.GAMES), Tarantool, Mail.ru Mail. VK Cloud Solutions platform provided its cloud infrastructure for project development. According to the results of the qualifying tournaments, 34 teams became finalists. They were able to compete for the main prizes: the champions received 500 thousand rubles, the silver medalists – 300 thousand, and the bronze ones – 200 thousand rubles.

Two-time marathon champions, the Mountain Heads team became the winners of Vezdekod and the owners of cash prizes: Julia Rabchanova, Evgeny Vyaznikov, Victor Egorov, Vladimir Rabchanov (first place); Barbariki team: Alexander Sarantsev, Yury Yerilov, Igor Lantsov, Alexey Lepekha (second place); IT Band team: Egor Goroshkin, Alina Galeeva, Polegenko Anton, Ilya Gaevsky (third place).
