The Russian fell into a coma for two months after contracting coronavirus on vacation in Turkey
A Russian tourist from Bashkiria went to Turkey. There he was diagnosed with a coronavirus and serious lung damage, which caused the man to fall into a coma for two months. This is reported by Life.
As the wife of 44-year-old Dmitry Yapryntsev said, he is now in intensive care in a Turkish hospital. According to her, her husband's severe cough began at the beginning of the trip, which is why the family decided to return home. However, on the way to the airport, the man almost fainted – an ambulance team arrived and immediately took him to the red zone. At the hospital, it turned out that the Russian had severe lung damage.
Yapryntsev's close ones had to leave Turkey. Later they were told that the medical insurance for the treatment had ended – now they have to pay $ 650 for one day in intensive care (about 47.5 thousand rubles). At the same time, the price does not include medications and treatment, only hospital accommodation.
In addition, the tourist needs to undergo a tracheotomy (an operation in which a tube is inserted into the throat to prevent asphyxiation – approx. ” Lenta.ru “) for 1.6 thousand dollars (about 117 thousand rubles). Also, to transport a man to his homeland, an airplane with special equipment and resuscitators will be required.
It is noted that now Yapryntsev's relatives do not have such means. In this regard, they sent an appeal to the head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov.
Earlier in October, a British tourist went to Croatia and inadvertently fell from the balcony of the hotel. After the incident, the traveler was found to have several fractures, including ribs, collarbone, wrist and skull, as well as a cerebral hemorrhage. The doctors had to transfer her in a state of artificial coma.
