Transmashholding presented new passenger capsule cars with herringbone seats 
of a Russian non-furrowed passenger carriage “herringbone”. This is reported by TASS.
The concept received this name due to the special placement of berths: the capsules are located diagonally in relation to the aisle. At the same time, the layout presents two possibilities for using space – in the form of a personal capsule for sleeping or an open compartment.
According to the project, an individual capsule is separated by a wall and a curtain from the common corridor and was created for passengers traveling alone. The second option, in the form of an open compartment, is aimed at those who travel with families or large companies.
It is noted that each tourist upon boarding the train will be given their own set of charging stations for gadgets, hangers, wall pockets and other things necessary on the road. The new cars also have additional luggage racks under the ceiling.
Earlier in September it was reported that from 2022 Russian Railways plans to launch trains with new types of cars – with showers and halls. Thus, seven passengers will be able to sit in a shower car at once – there will be two blocks of three showers each, separated from each other by special partitions and a curtain, and one individual cubicle.
