Roskachestvo revealed the reasons for the refusal of Russians from traditional meat in favor of vegetable

According to the results of a sociological survey by Roskachestvo, a copy of which is at the disposal of Lenta.ru, the greatest enthusiasm is relative to innovative The product was demonstrated by young people from 18 to 24 years old. Older people (over 55 years old) are wary of vegetable meat.
The respondents named several conditions under which they agree to abandon traditional meat. First of all, consumers are concerned about compliance with safety requirements – 37 percent of Russians want to be sure of the reliable quality of products. According to the majority of respondents, vegetable meat should also retain the taste and nutritional value to which they are accustomed to in regular meat.
The choice of a third of the respondents depends on the cost of the new product. For 22 percent, artificial meat should be cheaper than traditional meat, and 10 percent agree to use it while maintaining the same price. At the same time, 14 percent of buyers are concerned about the presence of vegetable meat in stores.
However, in Russia there is still a large proportion of those who are not ready to give up regular meat: there are more than 39 percent of such consumers. More than half of them (56 percent) are citizens of retirement age. Among young people, opponents of an innovative product are only 19 percent.
Artificial meat is gaining popularity in Russia. In September, only 37.2 percent of the country's inhabitants were ready to diversify the menu with artificial meat. The share of those who did not want to give up traditional meat was 46.7 percent.
