The blogger found out on the Internet about her own death

Blogger Amelyun Nguyen found out on Instagram that she was presumed dead at a Travis Scott concert and Twitter that netizens thought she died at a concert by American rapper Travis Scott. A 17-year-old student from Sydney told how she read on the Internet about her own death in a video on TikTok and in a commentary to BuzzFeed.

In the video, the girl showed how she found many messages on the network in which it was said that she died at the concert: there really was a stampede at the event, due to which several people died. “I woke up, and the world declared me dead,” Nguyen said in the caption to the video.

According to her, similar posts appeared on Twitter and Instagram. Some of them mentioned the girl's name and surname, and also published her photographs. Many also expressed condolences to those close to Nguyen. “Rest in peace. She died at the Astro festival ”,“ I know your daughter is dead. If you now have her phone, I’m sorry about your loss, ”users wrote about her.

The blogger added that she didn’t know what was the source of the fake, and that she didn’t know the authors of such posts.

On November 5, at the Astroworld festival in Houston, there was a stampede that killed ten people. The audience who came to Scott's performance tried to push closer to the stage, as a result of which panic began. As a result, 17 people were hospitalized. The second day of the festival was canceled.
