Aeroflot: domestic air transportation in Russia leads in terms of recovery in the world year. It is noted that the active restoration of passenger traffic became possible thanks to the introduction of a new route network by the air carrier. “We launched a joint route network of all three of our airlines from Sheremetyevo, transferred more than 50 aircraft from Aeroflot to Russia and Pobeda, launched a new regional hub in Krasnoyarsk,” Poluboyarinov explained.
However, a full return to 2019 volumes is forecasted no earlier than 2023. The head of Aeroflot also reported that the pace of restoration of international traffic is not high – 62 percent is not enough to the level of last year.
