Nord Stream 2 may be launched by the end of the heating season. The Fitch rating agency named such a term, TASS reports.
The agency's forecasts are made taking into account the slow pace of certification of the Russian gas pipeline. Dmitry Marinchenko, senior director of Fitch's natural resources and commodities group, linked the suspension of the Nord Stream 2 certification process to procedural rather than political issues. “Germany consistently supports the project, and it is probably not worth looking for conspiracy theories here,” the expert noted.
