Now for me personal comfort is more important than getting into history, ”the specialist answered the corresponding question from journalists. He added that Rostov was the nicest team he worked for.
On November 15, Karpin also admitted that he could leave the Russian national team before the play-offs for the 2022 World Cup. He noted that he needs a week to decide on the future.
Karpin headed the Russian national team in July this year. An agreement with a specialist is calculated until the end of December. Under his leadership, the team took second place in the selection group for the 2022 World Cup and will make their way to the world championship through play-offs. The coach worked at Spartak from 2009 to 2014 and twice led the team to silver medals in the Russian Championship.
