In Moscow, Bolshoi ballerina Mariana Gomez was hospitalized after a suicide attempt. This was reported by the REN TV channel on Tuesday, November 16.

According to the channel's source, the 34-year-old actress tried to commit suicide after a quarrel with her lover. She was found in an apartment in Leontievsky Lane and taken to the hospital.

At present, Gomez's life is not in danger. Doctors continue to monitor her condition.

Mariana Gomez was born in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte. In 2006, she became the first Brazilian artist to be admitted to the Bolshoi Theater troupe, and seven years later she graduated from the Russian Theater Institute with a degree in ballet teacher, specializing in ballet pedagogy. She took part in the performances Symphony of Psalms, Winter's Tale, La Bayadere, The Nutcracker and La Sylphide.
