Acting vice-governor of the Vladimir region was detained in the case of accepting a bribe

TASS: Acting Vice Governor of the Vladimir Region Vishnevsky was detained in a corruption case in the corruption case. This is reported by TASS with reference to a source in the power structures.

The official is suspected of accepting a bribe during the construction of a school during the work of former governor Vladimir Sipyagin, who resigned on October 4 in connection with the transition to work as a State Duma deputy.

It is noted that Vishnevsky became the acting deputy head of the Vladimir region on March 18 2021 and oversaw social development. As REN TV reports with reference to its sources, he was detained for accepting a bribe from a developer.

The matter concerns the construction of a school in the Kommunar microdistrict. The official promised to resolve the issue of adding two floors to the building, but did not fulfill his promise. After that, as reported, the developer himself could apply to the investigating authorities. The exact amount of the bribe has not yet been disclosed.

Earlier, the former deputy governor of the Kurgan region, Sergei Pugin, was sentenced to eight years of general regime for abuse of office and a bribe. In addition, he was fined almost two million rubles.
