Usman Nurmagomedov's friend refused to admit his guilt in deliberately hitting a policeman refused to consider himself guilty of deliberately hitting a policeman. This is reported by “Sport-Express”.
The accused spoke in a complaint against the actions of lawyer Alexander Karabanov, directed to the president of the Moscow City Bar Association Igor Polyakov. Idrisov accused him of violating professional ethics and the presumption of innocence. The discontent of a friend of the athlete, who is a cousin of the former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, prompted an interview with a lawyer, in which he condemned the participants in the incident.
Idrisov claims that he did not run into a traffic police officer, but an armed soldier of the Russian Guard, who ran out onto the road without a reflective vest. According to him, the blow of the victim on the right side of the hood was not strong, and he could not see its consequences because of the traffic police officers who blocked the view in the rear-view mirrors. He also stressed that he had run over by accident, as he misunderstood the instructions of the police, deciding that he could start moving.
“Being in a hurry, I did not realize the severity of what had happened, which, in principle, is confirmed by my further actions, in particular, by the fact that my friend and I passed the registration and got on the plane on the route to Moscow, and did not hide in the uninhabited area around the airport “, – said Idrisov.
A friend of Usman Nurmagomedov also stressed that after the collision he asked his acquaintances to drive up to the traffic police post, apologize to the National Guard and offer him material compensation. “The victim turned out to be quite an adequate person, thanked him for arriving with apologies and explanations, refused monetary compensation, jokingly that the guys now owe him autographs at the next meeting,” Idrisov added.
The incident took place on November 11. Idrisov and Nurmagomedov were detained at the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport. It was reported that, according to law enforcement officers, before flying to the capital from Makhachkala, they hit a police officer by car. The victim was hospitalized, a criminal case was opened.
