In Dagestan, a five-year-old boy who was undergoing home treatment was mistakenly given an antibiotic by his parents mixed with lidocaine, the hospital could not save the child, the Ministry of Health of the republic reported, Interfax reports.
The three-year-old brother of the deceased boy was also taken to the Babayurtovskaya central regional hospital with signs of poisoning. “The child came to his senses and was transferred from the intensive care unit to the department. His life is not in danger, “the Dagestan Ministry of Health said.
According to the ministry, two boys were prescribed antibiotics due to upper respiratory tract inflammation. Adults began to treat children on their own.
Earlier, at a school in the Karakulinsky district of Udmurtia, about 50 children were poisoned. The minors were sent to the hospital, eight of them, after being examined, were released home for outpatient treatment.
