The future of the regions of Russia previously referred to the Far North is revealed

Ministry of Economic Development: regions referred to the Far North were included in the draft of a single list , were included in the draft resolution of the Russian government on the approval of a single list of such territories. Their future was revealed by TASS with reference to the Ministry of Economic Development.

On November 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin canceled Boris Yeltsin's decree on equating the territories of Karelia to the regions of the Far North. Thus, from January 1 of the next year, the decree of December 20, 1993, by which living conditions in certain regions of Karelia were equated to living conditions in the Far North, is canceled.

In turn, the Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov promised to clarify the details the decree of the head of state Vladimir Putin on the territories of the Far North. He suggested that the document is “technical”.

In addition, the decree on the exclusion of Karelia from the regions of the Far North was unexpected for the deputy of the State Duma from Karelia Valentina Pivnenko. According to her, this is due to the clarification of the regulatory framework, since after the decree of the Russian leader, other laws appeared, which no one canceled.
