The head of Avtodor Petushenko: a section of the M-11 highway bypassing Tver will be built by the end of 2023

By the end of 2023 in Russia plan to complete the construction of a section bypassing Tver of the M-11 Moscow – St. Petersburg “Neva” megatrack. The timing of the project's implementation during a meeting with President Vladimir Putin was named by the head of Avtodor, Vyacheslav Petushenko, according to the Kremlin's website.

The head of the company described the construction of the highway as the most important achievement of the country's road construction. According to Petushenko, after the completion of work on the site bypassing Tver in Russia, the first highway will appear, which will connect the two capitals. Narrow sections on the highway have also been expanded, now you can drive there at a maximum speed of 130 kilometers per hour.

“Moreover, with the tolerances that exist today, we understand that it is possible to get from Moscow to St. Petersburg in five hours. calmly, “- said the head of Avtodor.

The company plans to connect St. Petersburg and Sevastopol with a similar highway by 2024 with a length of 2.5 thousand kilometers. At the moment, work is underway to bypass Rostov and Krasnodar.

In August 2021, the Ministry of Transport announced that they plan to complete the construction of a section bypassing Tver of the M-11 highway in 2027. The dates were indicated in the country's Transport Strategy for the period up to 2030.
