British singer Ed Sheeran named best performer and songwriter of the year by MTV 
British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran (full name – Edward Christopher Sheeran) was named the performer of the year according to the MTV Europe Music Awards 2021. This was reported on the official Twitter account of the music award.
In addition, Sheeran was named Best Song. He won an award for the track Bad Habbits, beating stars such as Justin Bieber with the song Peaches, singers Olivia Rodrigo (Drivers License) and Doja Cat (Kiss Me More), rapper Lil Nas X (Montero), and Kid Laroi, who sang together Hit Stay with Bieber.
The MTV European Music Awards took place in Budapest, Hungary. Various music artists have received MTV Europe awards since 1994.
In October this year, it was revealed that coronavirus-infected Ed Sheeran has released a new solo album called Equals. The release became the fourth album in the solo discography of the 30-year-old artist.
