Pashinyan's words about military invasion of Armenia explained in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry stated that the military did not invade the territory of Armenia

Servants of the Armed Forces (AF) of Azerbaijan did not invade the territory of Armenia, and fulfilled their duties in the sovereign territories of their country. This statement was made by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan, Leyla Abdullayeva, commenting on the words of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the invasion of the Azerbaijani military.

She explained that Baku is taking adequate measures to provoke the Armenian side. In particular, Abdullayeva noted, the actions of the Azerbaijani military were a response to the concentration of the Armenian Armed Forces in the direction of the Lachin region on November 9, as well as to shelling of the positions of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces on the Kelbajar section of the border on November 13.

“We also remind you that the main responsibility for the current tension lies directly with the military-political leadership of Armenia, “the speaker of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry added.

On November 15, Pashinyan said that a day earlier, Azerbaijani troops had invaded the republic on one of the sections of the border, and convened the Security Council … The Armenian government and the Security Council called on Russia and the CSTO to pay attention to the actions of Baku. On the same day, Defense Minister Arshak Karapetyan was dismissed.

The second Karabakh war ended with the conclusion of a trilateral statement on November 10, 2020 by the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia. Baku regained control of part of the territories lost in the early 1990s. A peace treaty between the parties to the conflict was never signed, and clashes regularly occur on the border of the two countries.
