Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called himself the most experienced of the world leaders. The politician said this during a meeting with youth in the province of Canakkale in northwestern Turkey, the event was broadcast on his Twitter.

On November 3, it was reported that the General Directorate of Security of Turkey opened criminal cases against 30 people who distributed posts insulting Erdogan on the Internet. The posts contained wishes of death to the state leader. If found guilty, the authors of the publications face imprisonment.
In 2003, Erdogan took over as Prime Minister of Turkey after the Justice and Development Party won the parliamentary elections. In 2014, he was elected president of the country, and in 2018 he was re-elected for a second term.
