A case was initiated in Russia over the illegal hunting of a judge, a bailiff and an FSB officer

In Yakutia, a case was initiated due to the illegal hunting of high-ranking officials in the Nyurba region a natural territory in the Nyurba region of high-ranking officials – a Russian judge, a bailiff and an FSB officer. This was reported on the website of the regional prosecutor's office.

“When a criminal case was initiated, it was established (…) that on the territory of the republican reserve of Syugdzher, the fact of illegal harvesting of 12 wild reindeer carcasses with the discovery of a hunter's base was revealed,” says in the message.

The investigation of the criminal case was taken under control by the republic's prosecutor's office and transferred to the Nyurba interdistrict investigation department.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 9, ten kilometers from the border area of ​​the Sugdzher reserve. Weapons, ammunition, 13 deer carcasses and one sable were seized from the chairman of the Nyurba District Court Dmitry Ivanov, FSB officer Arnold Gerasimov and bailiff Grigory Ivanov. During interrogation, the hunters stated that they got lost due to the blizzard and did not know that they were in a protected area.
