More than 500 people bitten by scorpions in Egypt

In Egypt, more than 500 people were injured per day from scorpion bites

500 people per day. This was announced by the acting Minister of Health Khaled Abd al-Gaffa, he is quoted by RIA Novosti.

“503 citizens in Aswan received an antidote from scorpion bites … there are no deaths from the bites,” the Ministry of Health said.

They added that scorpions had bitten people, as their burrows were damaged due to the downpour, and the animals were near residential buildings.

According to Minister Khaled Abd al-Gaff, in all Egyptian hospitals have enough supplies of antidotes for scorpion bites – in the province of Aswan there are 3350 doses in stock.

The invasion of animals occurred due to rainstorms in the south of Egypt and hail, which is rare in this area. Due to the weather, five houses were destroyed.

Earlier in the United States in the state of Georgia, an invasion of huge poisonous spiders from Asia began. Spiders Trichonephila clavata cover houses and power lines with cobwebs that are three meters deep.
