The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that the Ingush need to stop a “bunch of provocateurs” 
a bunch of provocateurs ”, spreading unconfirmed information about actions on the border with Ingushetia. He made this statement during a meeting in Galanchozhsky district, RIA Novosti reports.
“He called on the fraternal people to stop a bunch of provocateurs who are trying to play the nationalist card. Moreover, this issue has been closed once and for all and fully complies with the letter of the law, “Kadyrov wrote on VKontakte.
On November 11, a video appeared on the network showing the Ingush settlement of Dattykh in the Sunzhensky region in the border with Chechnya heavy machinery is carrying out repair work. Magomed Pidiev, who published the video, called it “another provocation of neighbors,” and after that the network started talking about the fact that the equipment belongs to the State Institution “Chechenavtodor” and could change the course of the Fortanga river.
Chairman of the Chechen parliament, Magomed Daudov, replied that work on the river bank could not affect the border line with Ingushetia.
The issue of the administrative border between Chechnya and Ingushetia has been recurring since the early 1990s. In 1993, an agreement was signed, according to which the Sunzhensky District, with the exception of the settlements of Sernovodsk and Assinovskaya, went to Ingushetia.
In September 2018, Chechnya transferred a part of the Nadterechny District to Ingushetia – a mountainous and wooded area. In turn, Ingushetia gave Chechnya an equivalent territory on the border with the Malgobek region.
