Forecaster Tishkovets: January frosts will hit Moscow at the end of November, down to minus 14-19
Leading employee of the Phobos weather center Evgeny Tishkovets warned Muscovites about the January frosts at the end of November. He told RIA Novosti that the temperature could drop to minus 19 degrees.
According to the forecaster, at this time there is a possibility of an Arctic invasion, as a result of which the cold will increase every day.
“Real December frosts will hit, and then, possibly, January frosts,” he said, adding that the night temperature will drop to minus 8-13 degrees, and daytime temperatures will drop to minus 2-7 degrees. At the end of November, in the morning it can be up to minus 14-19 degrees, and in the afternoon – up to minus 7-12.
Earlier, the head of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, warned that from November 15, residents of the Urals regions would expect an abnormal cold snap. The meteorologist said that from Monday the temperature at night in the Urals will drop to minus 15-18 degrees Celsius, and 20-degree frosts are expected in the Kurgan region. During the day it will also be minus 5-10 degrees. In general, the temperature background in the regions of the Urals will be 4-7 degrees below normal, Vilfand noted.
