Chinese President Xi & nbsp; Jinping will henceforth be called the “helmsman of the Chinese renaissance.” Until now, only the founder of the People's Republic of China, Mao Zedong, had this title, Interfax notes.
The decision to & nbsp; conferring the title was made on & nbsp; Thursday at the & nbsp; meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The & nbsp; historical document commemorates the party's merits and & nbsp; contains a call to continue supporting the policies of the current President of the People's Republic of China.
This is the third such document in & nbsp; history in & nbsp; China on the CCP's achievements. Before & nbsp; this approved the resolution of Mao Zedong in & nbsp; 1945 and & nbsp; Deng Xiaoping in & nbsp; 1981. Thus, the merits of Xi & nbsp; Jinping are equated to the & nbsp; two aforementioned former Chinese leaders.
The text of the resolution calls for & nbsp; the whole party, the entire army and & nbsp; peoples of all ethnic groups to unite more closely around the & nbsp; Central Committee party. '' With & nbsp; the adoption of this document, Xi & nbsp; Jinping has every chance to go for & nbsp; a third term in & nbsp; the post of Chairman of the PRC & nbsp; & mdash; until & nbsp; 2027. He has been & nbsp; this post since & nbsp; March 2013.
